Stoney Morton and Corey Idrogo are the owners of CrossFit 10-99. Stoney started crossfitting out of his garage in 2012 to help keep him in shape for full time job as a Law Enforcement officer and Corey stumbled into CrossFit in 2013 after seeing the life changing results his wife had after she started. This year after much talk, they finally jumped into a commercial setting and opened their own box. Working out has always been a passion of both of them and that passion turned into a reality.

If you spend any amount of time with me, you will soon discover that I am a very caring selfless person who really enjoys helping people. I am always looking to improve myself physically, mentally and spiritually. Exercise has always been a passion of mine and I have been involved with it my entire life through sports and the military. As you will see when you drop in that my full-time profession is that I am a chiropractor. I specialize in helping people get their lives back from injuries with chiropractic, manual therapy and active rehabilitation, but I knew there was something missing. Everyday I work with my passion of helping give people hope and their lives back, but I began to see that our society's view on health is broken and I am treating people who have already lost their health. I always told myself that it would be much easier to help people be proactive about their health rather than waiting until the wheels fall off, but I didn't know how to get the message out. There had to be something more available to help empower people. That element finally came when Stoney and I decide to open CrossFit 10-99 and we witnessed the forming of a community unlike anything ever experienced in a regular gym setting. A place where people come together and genuinely care about each other. A gym where they encourage one another through challenging workouts and challenges in life. A fitness center where people authentically celebrate goals being achieved in the gym but also in life.

I have spent most of my life participating in group workouts.I played multiple sports and still play some sports recreational today. I am a veteran and was part of group physical training for years. As I transitioned into Law Enforcement I continued my group physical training. I started full time CrossFit in 2012. Since I started CrossFit it has made a tremendous difference in my life. The community atmosphere was a great place to meet new people and have a great place to escape. CrossFit has helped with demanding needs that come with Law Enforcement. From long hours, rescuing, chasing and the physical demands. My goal is to help all first responders be healthier and live better lifestyles. It's not a matter of IF but WHEN the job will ask you to give everything you got. I want them all to be ready mentally and physically. I have conditioned hundreds of athletes to help them pass all types of physical agility test. Our staff will make sure you are ready for anything.

I have always been passionate about fitness and helping others adopt a healthy lifestyle. My love for fitness began early in life. I played sports throughout my school years and have always strive to make healthy choices. However, my real drive for fitness came about in my early 20s when I began running and competing in races. For several years, I was content with JUST running, but as time passed, I realized that I needed more! Luckily, I found a great personal trainer that helped me discover the importance and need for lifting weights. At this point, I was starting to get a good balance of cardio and strength. Although this was a good start, it would be a few years before finding the perfect fitness program for myself.

Fast forward a few years to 2011, and it was at this time that my husband was offered a job in Chattanooga. However, we were currently living in Murfreesboro, TN, and for the past 10 years, I had a career working as an Academic Advisor for Middle Tennessee State University. Don’t get me wrong! I enjoyed my job and felt at home in the academic world, but my husband’s new job opportunity allowed me the perfect opportunity to pursue a fitness career…so, I took it! Finally, I was getting to do something that I truly loved and enjoyed!

To get started, I obtained my Group Fitness Certification via American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2012 and began teaching fitness classes at various Chattanooga gyms. This eventually led me to becoming a Personal Trainer where I really gained an appreciation for helping people achieve their fitness goals.

Shortly after…in 2013, I discovered Iron Tribe Fitness, first as a member and later as Head Coach. Iron Tribe introduced me to functional fitness as well as Olympic barbell movements in a way that pushed me above and beyond my fitness goals. Furthermore, I received my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification in 2016 which has allowed me to help others develop and maintain healthy eating habits.

All of this led me to where I am today…Coach and yoga instructor at CrossFit 10-99! On a daily basis, I am privileged to help others see their fitness potential and actually accomplish goals never thought achievable! To say the least, I am excited to be a part of 10-99 and what it has to offer the Chattanooga area!

Hey Everyone,

My name is Coach Brooke! I am married to Coach Corey and we moved to Chattanooga three years ago by way of Chicago. I am originally from West Virginia. I went to school at West Liberty University where I ran track and got my degree to become a dental hygienist. After college, I was more focused on my career that I rarely worked out consistently. It was while Corey was in school to become a chiropractor that I started CrossFit in 2010. 

We were living in Iowa at the time and I had heard about it through a friend. I was intimidated but also a little intrigued at the idea. I had a membership to a local gym but had no idea what to do when I was there so, if I went I would get on the elliptical or treadmill for 30 minutes and go home. I was getting no where with my fitness. I finally decided it was time to try it out when I got engaged. I went for my first intro class by myself, it was a basic workout (sit-ups, push-ups and a 200m run I think) but, I was hooked and signed a year contract that night and the rest is history! Going through on-ramp was great I met people who were starting the same journey as me. It was so exciting to see the progress I was making as well as everyone else I got to know. 
I love CrossFit because you get in and out in an hour with a great workout that is custom fit to you and your athletic ability.  I love seeing clients start doing things they never thought they could do and the transformation in confidence CrossFit gives people is unmatched!

My CrossFit journey began about 5 years ago.  I had grown up playing softball and volleyball in high school and some through college.  While I was able to stay fairly active through organized sports, once I graduated from college I would go through phases of whatever the latest fitness craze was, running, weight lifting, yoga, etc.  I would begin to get bored and either move on to the next craze or just completely stop working out. Fast forward a few years later, I found myself in a situation with chronic widespread pain that my doctor’s couldn’t really explain, at least not very well.  It wasn’t until I started CrossFit that I began to feel better. It was a gradual process that definitely had its ups and downs but within 3-4 months of starting CrossFit I wasn’t constantly having pain.

I had made new friends along the way and always felt a good sense of camaraderie and competition walking out onto the floor, which reminded me a lot of playing sports as a kid. one of the greatest things about CrossFit for me is that with constantly varied training, I never get bored with working out.  CrossFit is what actually helped drive me towards my profession as a doctor of physical therapy. The power of exercise and movement completely changed my life and I want to be able to help people realize the amazing things that their bodies are capable of doing. I love seeing new faces walk through the door because of how much potential each person has to grow and learn, not just about CrossFit, but about who they are as a person.

I used to not enjoy exercise.  Then two things led me to CrossFit:  1) after retiring from the Air Force, I needed a challenge, and 2) a loved one’s illness helped me appreciate being able to move around and do something for my health.  Now every week I’m excited to learn more, to improve, to work out with the inspiring and fun people of this gym, and to share in others' practice as a trainer.
